Electrochemical properties of multi-walled carbon-carbon nanotubes in to tin disulfide as the negative electrode for lithium ion battery

Direct current arc-plasma method was used to make multi-walled carbon nanotube-confined metal Nanostructures (Sn@MWCNT) as precursors in a methane atmosphere, and then SnS_2@MWCNT nanostructures were obtained through in the reaction of sulfurization. The exceptional quality of this material for lithium-ion batteries believed to be due to the synergy of the two constituents which are SnS2 and SWCNTs.
