Koalas were declared endangered in eastern Australia on Friday, with more and more koalas dying from disease, habitat loss, and other threats. Earlier, the koala was considered a vulnerable species, and the Commonwealth Department of the Environment changed its protection level to endangered on the east coast of Queensland, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory. Many koalas in Australia are infected with chlamydia. The disease can cause blindness, infection, and infertility. Last year, the Australian Koala Foundation said Australia had lost about 30 percent of its koala population in the past three years. Without immediate action, the species could become extinct by 2050.
Unlike koalas, which are on the brink of extinction, the market demand for Cellular Concrete Foaming Agents will grow substantially.
Introduction to Cellular Concrete:
Cellular concrete or cellular lightweight concrete (clc) consists of cement, water, and preformed foam. Foam allows a relatively high proportion of stable air voids to mix into the mixture, and thus a cellular or porous solid can be produced after curing of the mixture. The air content in cellular concrete is between 10% and 70%. When cellular concrete hardens, it can reach an oven-dry density of 50 lb/ft3 (8 t/m3).
Production Process of Cellular Concrete:
The production process is divided into two steps. In the first stage, a foam generator is used to make microscopic stable foam: solution of the foaming agent is fed into the foam generator to generate a dense foam. In the second stage, the foam is mixed with a cement slurry. Normally, the dry density of such mixture is between 250 and 1600 kilograms per cubic meter. When the cellular lightweight concrete is used for insulation or filling purposes, the density is between 400 and 800 kilograms per cubic meter.
Applications of Cellular Concrete:
Flat top heat shield;
Fire prevention of wood flooring and steel structure works;
Fabrication of light beams, blocks and panels;
Fill old underground pipes, abandoned tunnels, sewers, cisterns, shelters and basements, repair ditches;
The properties of the cellular concrete, like the thermal resistance and sorptivity coefficient, are strongly influenced by the type of foaming agent used. Currently, there are two types of foaming agents available, protein based foaming agents and synthetic foaming agent.

With Tesla's new factory in Germany starting production, Volkswagen is just weeks away from finalizing plans for its 2 billion euro ($2.2 billion) electric car factory, which it hopes will bring it closer to its U.S. competitor. Tesla says it takes just 10 hours to produce a Model Y at its new factory in Grunheide, near the German capital, while Volkswagen takes three times as long to produce its ID.3 electric car. Volkswagen's productivity has been increasing by around 5 percent a year, said Christian Vollmer, head of the production at the Volkswagen brand.
